Parasomnias? Maybe!

So, recently my friend and I were talking about about things our husband's do when they sleep... Of course there was the snoring, talking in Lord only knows what language, and the crazy hand movements like they are at work nailing things or messing with tools. But, the one that tops the cake is this:

It involves the two of them laying there... The girl is almost asleep for what seemed to be the millionth time that night. Every time she starts to fall asleep, something would wake her: the dog, the baby, a random noise, or the husband mumbling in his sleep. This time, she is startled awake and immediately looks at her husband, because he's making this strange noise. When you are almost asleep, you know it can be difficult to comprehend what's truly happening sometimes... So, she's watching him, trying to figure out if he needs help, or is indeed just making some strange noise in his sleep.

The noise grows louder and louder, each time he makes it. It's almost like he is having difficulties breathing from something being lodged in his throat! Right around the time when she begins to truly worry, (remember, he's laying in bed, still asleep) he leans forward and HOCKS A LOOGIE! Yes, a loogie! If you don't know what I'm talking about, Google It! Out of complete shock and disbelief that THAT really just happened, she throws herself forward, gives him a nice little love tap on the arm and says, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!???". He of course, mumbles something and rolls over. She continues to try to speak... Okay, maybe hollar... At him. He clearly is not awake and doesn't seem to be waking very easily.

Fast forward to wake up time.

When he wakes her before heading to work to say goodbye, the first words out of her mouth were about the instance, and as you have probably already assumed, he didn't remember ANY of it! In fact, he was in slight disbelief, himself. And then, he laughed. And laughed some more. Apparently, these bizarre things are disgusting and hilarious.

"YUK.", is all I can say.
